We use this about once a week or more because my five year old loves snow balls. You have to apply moderate pressure, but I use regular ice from the freezer and it has continued to work well. I would recommend this machine for a simple home-based snow cone maker!

I have purchused this item last summer. And it worked wonderful,but at the end of sumer the motor was broke and was all mest up. In all great product for summer,dosnt last a year. So if your looking for somthing that would last a year look again!
